A Love To Lean On

brightlight I have found a love
So strong and deep
A love to lean on
His promises He'll keep
A love not found
In the heart of any man
But a God who asked His only Son
To stretch out His then stainless hand
To give His life
Nailed to a tree
Because of His great love
His Son died for you and me
Compared to His
All other love is weak
After you've received His
No more will you seek
You will be failed
By every man
So put your trust in God's love
Whose Son has blood stained hands

Letter to the Lost

sky Hearts of stone, Blank faces. Empty eyes.
Years of anguish, from believing lies
From a callused heart, hatred seeps
anger and pride, pain cuts deep
Blinded by the darkness that lies within their souls
sorrow and despair, a moment of peace their only goal.
Forever searching for something, they don't believe is real.
Joy they've never known, fear and hopelessness, are all they can feel.
(Are you one of these people... lost in sin?
Are you fighting a battle that is impossible to win?)
I weep for them, because I am that for which they seek,
I died for them so that if they believe, their lives would no longer be bleak.
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life,
Without Me there is no hope, destined to die...
I stand at the door and knock.
In an unstable world, I am the only solid rock.
Will you open the door and let me in?
Will you believe and let me make you whole again?

Amputation of a Farce

lensflare So you don't say a word as I walk pass
Both hands in my pockets
And face to the sky
Everyday is moving time
So strum the strings on the guitar
Like you've lost track of whom you are, in a trance
But there will always be a way of things
Yeah there will always be a way of things
And second-hand delusions
Pretend you found solutions
And wait for me
Cause my accusation
Is on the television
"I want to be a rock n' roll star"
"I want to have nice shiny cars"
And take my baby for a ride
When the weather's nice outside
But when all is realized
I will never get that far
Can somebody tell me a story
Of how we've fallen from glory?
About the shed blood of the lamb
That I know is on my hands
So strum the strings on the guitar
Like you've lost track of who you are, in a trance,
but there will always be a way of things
There will always be a way of things
So how can I trade in my sorrows
And fall into the arms of my Lord
If I can't see past tomorrow
You never told me whom you were living for
Strum the strings on your guitar
Like you've lost track of who you are In a trance
But there will always be a way of things
There will always be a way of things
Save me, oh Jesus....
